Rob Semaan


Entrepreneur and business executive Rob Semaan has more than 15 years experience in all aspects of launching and growing innovative companies in the U.S. and abroad. Graduating with first class honors, Rob Semaan earned degrees in Commerce and Law from Bond University on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia, earning the distinction of being Business Review Weekly?s 1995 Australian Business Student of the Year. Rob Semaan moved to St. Louis, Missouri in the mid-1990s, co-founding top-ranked regional Internet service provider Access US, which continues its success to this day. During Rob Semaan?s tenure as CEO, the company maintained an annual growth rate of approximately 300 percent, expanding into hundreds of regional markets across the Midwest. In 2001, Rob Semaan co-founded 321 Studios, a leading provider of DVD backup, repair, and recovery software, known for its flagship title DVD X Copy. Rob Semaan?s company grew rapidly to over 400 employees worldwide and annual revenues in excess of $125 million, with distribution avenues through CompUSA, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Amazon.com. While expanding 321 Studios, Rob Semaan was instrumental in protecting consumers? rights to access his software, launching a preemptive lawsuit in U.S. federal court against nine major motion picture studios, which was settled amicably in 2004. Rob Semaan embarked on his next entrepreneurial venture in 2005, co-founding fig., a chain of medically supervised body shaping clinics that grew to a total of 500 employees, some $85 million in annual revenues, and 15 treatment centers serving eight metropolitan markets. Rob Semaan currently serves on the Board of Directors for a number of privately held companies in the South Pacific islands, where he lives with his wife and five children.
