Paul McInnis Lawyer
Paul McInnis, a lawyer with a thriving Toronto practice, has earned recognition across North America as an expert in family law. For five years, he has been listed by Best Lawyers in Canada as one of the country's top family law practitioners. Paul McInnis' work as a lawyer covers all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration. For more than 15 years, lawyer Paul McInnis has served as a Dispute Resolution Officer in the Superior Court of Justice's Family Law Division. He also works extensively with Continuing Legal Education and has presented many family law programs throughout his career. He has presented on such topics as child support guidelines, marriage contracts, and family law trial procedure. In addition, he has chaired and co-chaired a number of roundtable discussions and summits on family law procedure. Lawyer Paul McInnis has also worked extensively with the Canadian Bar Association. From 1998 through 2001, he served as an instructor in the Bar Admission Course's Family Law Section. He also works closely with the Advocates' Society, a group dedicated to improving client service, and has authored a number of articles published in the Society's journal. Furthermore, he maintains active membership in the American Bar Association and has undertaken legal coursework at CDR Associates, a mediation education center in the United States. Mr. McInnis has argued before the Bar of Ontario for more than 20 years. He was called to the Bar in 1979, two years after receiving his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. He also holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Western Ontario.
