Marijah McCain
Marijah McCain, founder and President of the Herbal Healer Academy, is well trained and experienced in naturopathic medicine; in fact, she has become an internationally acclaimed expert in natural healing. Marijah McCain comes from a background in science. McCain studied Microbiology at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, and worked in the field at Extendicare labs, where she earned a sponsorship from Phillips Petroleum Company to learn and manage an Electron Microscope designed for increased magnification capabilities. In addition, she spent time in sales where she gained business experience. Utilizing this foundation of knowledge and training, Marijah McCain founded the Herbal Healer Academy. Through Marijah McCain?s efforts to develop the domain of the Herbal Healer Academy, McCain significantly expanded her own experiences and qualifications as a naturopath. Marijah McCain?s affiliations include membership in the American Naturopathic Medical Association, the American Association of Nutritional Consultants, and the International Federation of Practitioners of Natural Therapeutics. She is a fellow and graduate of the British Institute of Homeopathy International, a fellow of the European Medical Association, and she has been recognized as a Medical Doctor of Alternative Medicine by the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines. In addition, McCain received an honorary professorship for contributions in ecology and achievements in scientific and educational activities by the Romanian headquarters of the Dimitrie Cantemir Ecological Foundation. She also earned the prestigious Seva Chakra Award presented in appreciation of exceptional dedication to the field of natural medicine and education on a global scale. Previous recipients of the Seva Chakra Award comprise the Dalai Lama; Mother Teresa; and Lama Gangchen, President of the World Peace Foundation. A leader in her field, Marijah McCain founded the Herbal Healer Academy as a venue where she shares her expertise, builds collaborations, mentors and trains aspiring natural healers, and continues her own journey of lifelong learning in the natural healing arts.
