John Richard Still
Prior to founding Still Financial Group, John Richard Still earned a bachelor?s and master?s degree in Business Education from Stephen F. Austin University, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, as well as part of the university?s baseball team. Soon after graduation, Mr. Still became a detached agent for the New York Life Insurance Company, where his success eventually led him to break out on his own and create the Still Financial Group. The Still Financial Group has consulted its clients on annuities, life insurance, medical and long term care products for the past three decades. John Richard Sill?s experience as a detached agent prompted him to write an article for New York Life in 1987 titled, ?No Special Favors, No Pats on the Back? in which he explored the ins and outs of working in that position. John Richard Still has also written a number of articles on antique weapons for the Texas Gun Collector, including ?Sgt, Stanford and His Horn? and ?The Oldest Gun in the Oldest Town in Texas.? John Richard Still is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table Club (MDRT), and has received National Sales Achievement and National Quality Awards. Mr. Still is also a certified Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow, a certified Financial Services Specialist, and is certified in Long-Term Care. In his free time, John Richard Still enjoys collecting antique weapons, currency, and pottery. Mr. Still is also a member of organizations such as the Fredonia Rotary Club of Nacogdoches, the Nacogdoches County United Way, The Blood Center of East Texas, and the Nacogdoches Independent School District. Additionally, John Richard Still has taught Risk Management for the Department of Economics and Finance at Stephen F. Austin University.
