James Sidd DDS
As Chief of the Tohatchi Health Centers Dental Clinic, Dr. James Sidd added endodontic and prosthodontic services to the dental practice that he provides to patients from the nearby Navajo Nation reservation. Dr. James Sidd, who has lived in several states throughout his life, joined the New Mexico clinic in 2009 as a Staff Dentist. In less than six months, he became Acting Chief, and in November 2011, he assumed his current role. As Acting Chief, Dr. Sidd oversees a staff of six dental assistants, a dental hygienist, an office manager, a dental resident, and a staff dentist. He also treats patients at a nearby hospital in Gallup. Because of the training Dr. Sidd has provided to the clinics dental residents, he received the title of Associate Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine from the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. James Sidd, DDS, attended universities in the Southern United States. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the late 1990s. Before changing to dentistry, Dr. Sidd trained in business and engineering. He attended Vanderbilt University to earn a Master of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management. He began his academic career by studying engineering at Vanderbilt, University, in Nashville, Tennessee, where he and earned his Bachelors. Appreciative of the outdoors and the natural world, James Sidd, DDS, frequently goes hiking. He also enjoys scuba diving, which allows him to explore marine life. His charitable efforts include donations to National Public Radio. He also listens to the local NPR station in his free time and appreciates its informative interviews and current news coverage.
