Sargent Corporation, headquartered in Stillwater, combines extensive earthmoving experience with attention to detail and a focus on excellence. Herbert R. Sargent and his firm specialize in completing projects of all sizes, such as road construction, airport runways, and wind farms throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic United States. During his career, Sargent has won awards for his commitment to quality construction work. In 1991, the Army Corps of Engineers recognized his company as an "Excellent" contractor for his work on a $12.1 million project at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine. He has won Build Maine Awards throughout his career. Sargent's business has earned the Governor's Award for Business Excellence and Business of the Year Awards from both the Bangor Chamber of Commerce and the Maine Chamber of Commerce.
