Granger Whitelaw
Serial entrepreneur Granger Whitelaw has most recently turned his attention to the social media market. As an advisor with Social Media 123-4, he helps the company use a variety of business models to develop partnerships, market share, and revenue for its clients. Social Media 123-4 bills itself as part public relations firm, part marketing company, part consumer experience company, and part business development company, and through it, Granger Whitelaw works with clients on every facet of their businesses. Prior to starting work with Social Media 123-4 in 2011, Granger Whitelaw cofounded and served as President and CEO of the Rocket Racing League. The company, which is still growing today under the direction of a new chief executive, combines aspects of motorsport racing and air shows to create a venue in which top-notch pilots race rocket-powered ?X-Racer? cars that can reach 250 miles per hour. Granger Whitelaw served in the top position at the company from 2004 to 2009, overseeing its financing, marketing, racing, and overall operations. Mr. Whitelaw began his career in the art business, which he entered in Minneapolis after studying marketing and international trade at the University of Minnesota. He later moved to New York City, though he eventually left the art world to found several businesses in Washington, D.C. Outside of his entrepreneurial interests, Granger Whitelaw maintains a wide variety of hobbies, including hunting, skiing, flying, driving, boating, and scuba diving. Mr. Whitelaw is a veteran of the United States Army, which he served as a member of the United Nations Command Honor Guard in Korea before attending college in Minnesota.
