Edward Dovner


Inventor and entrepreneur Edward Dovner introduced his latest invention in 2011. Available for both private and commercial use, Eddie Dovner?s patented Bike in the Air system provides a convenient way for bicyclists to store their bikes at home or at the office. Dovner is also involved in a variety of other business endeavors, including a company that designs portable exercise equipment that can fold down and fit in a small suitcase. Early in his career, Ed Dovner worked in the hospitality industry as an attendant at The Diplomat Hotel in Miami. He also worked as an insurance sales agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for three years. During that time, he garnered multiple awards for his outstanding sales record and earned a place at the company?s yearly leaders? conference. After leaving Met Life, Dovner launched his first company, a business that distributed snacks with payments based on an honor system, rather than in a traditional vending machine. His success in this business allowed him to sell the company and establish Northeast Gourmet Coffee, one of the first companies in New England to offer gourmet roasted coffees. Under his management, Northeast Gourmet Coffee grew into a multimillion dollar business. As the father of three sons, Edward Dovner enjoys spending time with his family, often taking his sons with him on skiing trips. He has coached several of his sons? sports teams over the years as well. A travel enthusiast, Dovner has traveled to locations all over the world, including South America, Europe, and Asia.
