Camilla Denison
A business executive with an extensive background in manufacturing, Camilla Denison currently serves as CEO of Speadi, LLC, and as Board Member of Green Garage. The latter company aggregates and efficiently delivers sustainable auto maintenance and repair solutions to its clients. Camilla Denison additionally holds responsibilities as CEO of SOMS Technologies, LLC. The Valhalla, New York, firm has pioneered a MicroGreen Engine Filter that allows drivers to operate their vehicles for up to 30,000 miles without an oil change. Ms. Denison earned her B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the GMI Engineering & Management Institute. With a decade of experience at General Motors Company behind her, she completed graduate degrees in electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and in management at the Sloan School at MIT. Camilla Denison next took a position as General Manager with the Switches Business at ITT Automotive, Inc. Within a year, she had employed an inclusive team-building approach for turning around a failing enterprise and generated a fourfold sales increase. Next accepting a position as Business Unit Director of the $3 billion Visteon Corporation?s cockpit division, Ms. Denison significantly improved product quality and customer satisfaction. She subsequently joined Textron Fastening Systems as President of the Automotive Solutions Unit. Implementing a system-wide LEAN manufacturing process, she was able to double inventory turns within a four month period. From 2005 to 2009, Camilla Denison served as President of Champion Laboratories, Inc., a $400 million privately held automotive and heavy-duty application filters company based in Albion, Illinois. In the first year alone, Ms. Denison closed a production facility in Mexico and opened a facility in China, increasing corporate profitability by 50 percent. She decreased inventory by approximately one-third and increased on-time delivery from 80 to 99.5 percent. Ms. Denison presently divides her time between Indiana, Michigan, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
