Brad Dorsky

Bradford Dorsky grew up in Mashpee, Massachusetts, a town on the southern shore of Cape Cod originally settled by British colonists in 1658. The town overlooks Nantucket Sound, where Bradford Dorsky grew up boating and ocean fishing. He completed his secondary education at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Harwich, about 21 miles east of Mashpee. An enthusiastic participant in competitive sports, Bradford Dorsky took full advantage of the school?s membership in the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association by playing basketball, soccer, and baseball with the Crusaders at Cape Cod Vo-Tech. He also played music as a teen, learning the trumpet and playing in school orchestras. Bradford Dorsky later played the bass guitar with various bands such as Turns to Ashes, Off the Hitch, and Electrified Soul. Outside of school, Mr. Dorsky participated in the Boy Scouts of America and attended church at The Parish of Christ the King in Mashpee. As a Catholic, he underwent baptism at Christ the King, as well as taking his first communion there and receiving confirmation. In the Boy Scouts, Bradford Dorsky completed all three scouting levels and eventually became an Eagle Scout with Mashpee Pack 36. He still has friends he met in the Boy Scouts and continues to socialize with their families. Bradford Dorsky still resides in Mashpee. He works for Sears Holdings Corp. while attending classes at Cape Cod Community College. Mr. Dorsky follows various New England professional sports teams, plays trumpet and bass with friends, and continues to fish in Nantucket Sound and go clamming near Falmouth Heights. Mr. Dorsky also supports the mission of the local shelter for homeless and abused animals, the Cape Cod Animal Care and Adoption Center in Centerville, from which he has also brought home several pets of his own.
