Belal Khan

My name is Belal Khan. I’m a 22 year old Muslim, Indian-born American living in New Jersey. I am a full time student at Montclair State University, studying Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. I’m also a full-time filmmaker and mostly produce promotional videos and commercials for clients. All in all, I have a lot of fun doing what I do.

Leechon Films

Leechon Films is company started by Belal Khan, an ambitious college student who had a knack for film production. What started as simple classroom projects in high school soon grew to become one of the most successful mediums for Islamic Media in the United States. In 2006 Khan decided to turn his hobby into reality, and brought his efforts under a company. This is where Leechon Films came to exist. As time progressed, he honed his skills at film-making through opportunities that allowed him to work on short commercials, promotional videos and documentaries. From there Khan’s hobby soon grew into a full-time job.

Tufaan

To some, stories are what people read to their children before bedtime. To others, they are powerful learning tools. To Belal Khan, marketing junior, they are a means to help ease the hardships of those ravaged by disaster. Khan made a trip down to Louisiana June 2007 to film the personal stories those directly affected by Hurricane Katrina and plans to raise at least $250,000 for the victims once the
documentary is completed in late February.
