Arash Rahi


New York area physician Dr. Arash Rahi possesses broad educational and professional experience. Beginning his undergraduate studies at New York University, Dr. Rahi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, Mathematics, and French. In addition to achieving the Freshman Chemistry Award, Dr. Arash Rahi completed a study abroad program at the Universite Paris, where he studied international relations. He continued his studies at the New York University School of Medicine, obtaining his MD in 2003. Meanwhile, Dr. Rahi held positions as a translator for Berlitz and as an instructor of physics, general chemistry, and organic chemistry at the Princeton Review. Over the next five years, Dr. Arash Rahi worked toward the completion of his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Rahi took responsibility for supervising and staying academically involved with junior residents and medical students, as well as maintaining an active role in patient care. He received the Ambulatory Gynecology Award for his service, as well as several awards related to teaching. In 2007, Dr. Arash Rahi returned to New York University as a fellow in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Again, due to his significant academic contributions, Dr. Rahi received teaching awards every year during his stay at NYU. Currently, Dr. Arash Rahi works as an attending physician in Urogynecology and is especially involved in reconstructive surgery, utilizing the advanced techniques of minimally invasive robotic gynecologic surgery. Dr. Rahi also joined the Vigilant Great Neck Fire Department in 2008, where he serves the area of Great Neck, New York, as an interior firefighter. He enjoys a number of outdoor activities, including sailing, diving, motorcycling, and hiking.
